Natural Bug Repellent

After living through very hot and buggy summers in the semi-remote North Adams area, off-the-shelf bug repellents, especially those containing DEET were no longer an option.
Garlic's natural insect repelling properties gave us the idea to try our hand at making our own natural bug spray; the kind of spray that does not make your skin tingle and smell like poison.

Garlic as a natural insecticide

Garlic makes an excellent natural insecticide for your crops and plants. After working so hard to plant your crops, it would be a shame for all that work to be lost to pests. Make the garlic water recipe found here and simply spray on your plants to keep away unwanted guests.
