RED RussianRed Russian is a Rocambole hardneck variety with a strong, hot garlic flavour. Its paper wrapper is thin, purple-brown in colour, and peels easily. For this reason, this variety should be eaten before others as it does not keep as long. Cloves are large and average about 6 cloves per bulb.

Chesnok RedChesnok Red is a hardneck variety from Eastern Europe's Georgia. It can be considered a medium flavoured garlic that actually tastes sweet when baked. A true purple stripe, its coloured striping is immediately noticed. Wrapper is tight around the clove, allowing this variety to keep for much longer than most. Cloves are long and pointy at the tips, forming two concentric circles around the base. Bulbs are large and average about 9-12 cloves per bulb.
